Need a better elite
What is a good elite skill for a minion master?
I got really tired of casting Jagged Bones all the time...
Keep in mind I'm going for legendary survivor with this char

I'd say Aura of the Leech is good, but that's only really good for AB.
Also it'd make you vulnerable to Life Steal, which could make you go splat in PvE, saying bye bye to Survivor.
Eerm, best bet is probs *Dare I say it* Animate Flesh Golem...

aura of the lich hands down, it's about the only elite for MM's that provides the master with survivability. You've got jagged bones so you've got nightfall with that in mind go secondary derv and keep AotL, Dark Bond and Mystic regen up in combat, you'll be untouchable unless you're facing insane enchantment hate.

Aura of the lich for a human MM. no question there. its still not great though, there isnt a good human MM elite. you might consider a secondary elite to help support your team.

This would be my plan also.
Go /mo secondary - invest into protection (9) and bring [aegis],[protective spirit] and [divert hexes] ([shield of deflection] or [shield of regeneration] as substitutes for the times that you don't need hex removal). Plus they will help very nicely with your survivor plans.
As a survivor-wannabe I wouldn't want to run around with 300 or less hp.

AotL all the way. Very safe for survivors. Add in dark bond, mystic regen, well all the tank shit of that AB N/D build (that should be on pvxwiki). you got yourself a very safe and yet effective build.

It actually annoys me as well but it's just something I have to do
I don't mind if I die, I already got 2 legendary survivors, as long as I have fun trying not to die.

Ya jagged bones can get boring after a while (and a little frustrating at times too). Lets look at your options. I really haven't tried most of these but still...
Flesh Golem isn't too bad considering you can keep him up at all times, but damage isn't that great. Its corpse that it leaves could be beneficial to taste of death/putrid flesh/feast for the dead. Going with taste of death you could eliminate the need for bringing a self heal from another attribute since you will probably be healing minions with botm. Although some monks will probably heal you up already, its kinda annoying to be relying on someone else to heal up your sac.
Aotl is an option, but I don't find it to be too great in pve, even when you are trying to spam botm.
BiP? Maybe for support, but I'd wouldn't want the 33% sac heh.
OoU is pretty much dead atm for pve.
Reaper's mark could provide additional energy for summoning fiends and stuff, but recharge kinda sucks.
Virulence isn't a terrible option for pve on non-human mobs, but the degen and recharge time isn't that great.
Well of Power could also assist your team, but exploits a corpse and may stretch attributes depending on what you want to do.
Wail of Doom could help shutdown mobs that are monks or a total pain the in butt for your team.
Icy veins isn't that great because most pve mobs have high armor.
I like to go with curses on my necro for a different type of minion master other than jagged. A well placed mark of pain can deals loads of damage (I remember in sorrows furnace before the 10 minion nerf mark of pain could take out groups in less than 2 seconds haha). Weaken armor helps improve damage of all team members and minions since it reduces mobs AL by 20. Barbs is also another possibility. I'd just mess around till you find what works for you.

I've arrived to the point of view that the best Elite for a minion master is [Assassin's Promise]
The advantages of AP are:- huge energy return on top of SR
- 'free' minions past the DM imposed cap through [Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support] even when there aren't any exploitable corpses
- ability to freely use the long recharge minion skills [Animate Shambling Horror] and [Animate Vampiric Horror]
Add ["Finish Him!"] for a good measure and you have a MM powerhouse unlike anything you've played before
Edit: here's one possible build:
[build name="Promise MM" prof=N/A death=12+1+1 soul=8+1 deadly=10][Putrid Bile][Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support][Necrosis][Assassin's Promise]["Finish Him!][Animate Vampiric Horror][Blood of the Master][Resurrection Signet][/build]
Start with PB to trigger KD when you launch EVAS, then spam Necrosis until the target is ripe for picking, cast AP immediately followed by FH! and AVH the corpse. Repeat. As the brawl goes on this build gains terrible momentum from successive PB blasts and the accumulation of EVAS and horrors. As the momentum increases you'll notice that you can drop Necrosis from the loop, then EVAS and towards the end of the fight you'll be lucky if you have enough time to use AP + FH! to mop up the remaining foes.
While fighting you can heal your horrors with BotM and they'll heal you (a lot!) through their attacks. On transit you should request some monkey love to compensate for BotM.
